Elegant portico pendulum clock Louis XVI signed Dubuc in Paris. watchmaker referenced in the Tardy, dictionary of French watchmakers. Composed of white and gray turquin marble, and gilded bronze ornamentation with mercury.
Architecture with two columns consisting of a round base decorated with chains supporting a palmette flower hosting a second marble column ending in a vase. The upper part of the pendulum is decorated with a flower vase decorated with handles.
Curved dial in white enamel and its fine golden hands. the whole protected by a flap bezel set with a curved glass. The space between the columns is occupied by a frieze of hectic scrollwork and a sun pendulum.
Original mechanism without modification, suspension with silk thread. striking hours and half hours on an old bell.
Pendulum of excellent manufacture, authenticity and a remarkable state of conservation.
